About Sqillify

Skills you can prove, not facts you can recall

Sqillify is a place to build and prove practical skills in information technology, from infrastructure and software delivery to security and AI. Work through realistic situations from the job, see the reasoning behind every answer, and find out where to focus next.

What Sqillify is

A practice platform where every question is a situation from the job, not a definition from a textbook.

Real situations

A bucket that is public by mistake, a log that looks wrong, a pipeline that deploys the wrong thing. Each scenario gives you the evidence a working engineer would have, and asks what you do next.

Options that all sound right

Wrong answers are not jokes. Each one is something a competent person could believe: right in a different context, half of a fix, or aimed at the wrong layer. You have to read the situation to choose.

Single and multiple answers

Real problems often have more than one right move. Many questions ask you to choose two, choose three or choose all that apply, so you practise the way real assessments work.

Explained, option by option

After every question you see why the right answer works and why each of the others fails, with a link to the official documentation so you can go deeper.

Three levels

Beginner checks the concepts. Intermediate adds logs, configurations and constraints. Advanced puts you in attack chains and trade-offs where the obvious fix is the wrong one.

Know where you stand

Your results show strengths and gaps by skill area, a readiness band for each topic, and a one-click way to practise exactly the areas where you lost points.

Today there are 6 topics and 900 scenario questions. Each test draws 25 questions at random from its level, so a retake is a fresh test, not a repeat. New questions and topics are added regularly.

Why we built it

Because knowing the answer and making the right call are different skills, and most practice only tests the first.

Courses and certifications are very good at teaching facts. The job asks for something else. When an alert fires at 2 a.m., nobody asks you to define a term. You have to read the evidence, weigh a few reasonable options against the constraints in front of you, and pick the one that fixes the problem without creating a bigger one.

Most practice tests do not train that. They reward memorising, they can often be passed by eliminating the silly options, and they hand you a score without telling you what you misunderstood. You finish feeling either falsely confident or vaguely discouraged, and no wiser about the real gap.

The gap matters. In IT, small misjudgements are expensive: one over-permissive role, one key in a repository, one unreviewed model download, one prompt that trusts the wrong text. We built Sqillify around that moment of decision, so you can make your mistakes in practice, understand exactly why they were mistakes, and not make them in production.

Why you need it

If any of these sound like you, this is built for you.

You are preparing for a certification or an interview

Scenario questions are what separate people who memorised the guide from people who can apply it. Practising on situations, with every option explained, is the fastest way to find out which topics will not hold up under pressure, while there is still time to fix them.

You work in the field and want to find your blind spots

Experience is uneven. You are sharp where you work every day and rusty everywhere else. Sqillify shows you the areas where your judgement is weaker than you think, before a customer, an auditor or an attacker does.

You are moving into a new area of IT

Start at Beginner and work up. The explanations teach as they test, and the readiness band tells you when you are ready for the next level instead of leaving you to guess.

You want evidence of progress, not just a feeling

Your history, scores and trend over time turn "I think I am getting better" into something you can see, and something you can talk about with a manager or an interviewer.

What you get from every session

  • A realistic test of 25 questions you can finish in one sitting
  • The reason behind every right answer and every wrong one
  • A clear picture of your strengths and gaps by skill area
  • A focused practice set built from the areas you missed
  • A history you can look back on as you improve
  • Links to the official documentation for each topic

How it works

  1. 1

Pick a topic and a level

Choose from AWS, Azure, DevOps, cybersecurity, AI and ML, or AI security, at Beginner, Intermediate or Advanced.

  2. 2

    Work through the scenarios

Read each situation, then pick the best response. Some questions have one right answer, some ask for two or three.

  3. 3

    Learn, then close the gaps

Review every explanation, see your strengths and gaps, then practise the areas that need work and retake the test.

Topics

Practical skills across the stack that modern IT teams depend on.

AWS Security

IAM, guardrails, encryption, networking, logging and incident response on AWS.

Azure Security

Entra ID, Conditional Access, RBAC and Policy, network and data protection on Azure.

DevOps Skills

Pipelines, infrastructure as code, containers, Kubernetes, observability and releases.

General Cybersecurity

Attacks and defences across identity, crypto, applications, networks and response.

AI and ML Skills

Data, training, evaluation, LLMs and RAG, deployment, drift and experiments.

AI Security

Prompt injection, data leakage, model abuse, supply chain and agent safety.

What Sqillify is not

Every question and explanation on Sqillify is written for Sqillify. We do not copy exam content, and we do not sell brain dumps. Sqillify is an independent practice service. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Amazon Web Services, Microsoft or any certification body, and passing our tests does not guarantee a result on any exam.

What we aim for is practice that is demanding where the job is demanding, explains its reasoning, and focuses on making you better at the work itself.

Where we are heading

Sqillify launches for individual learners first. We are preparing versions for educators and trainers, for teams and organizations, and for recruiters, because the same scenario-based approach helps all of them. You can read what is planned on the Use Cases pages, and tell us what you would like to see through Contact Us.
